To give a proper toilette to a Saint Bernard you don't need a particular art nor instruments: even for a long-haired Saint Bernard (which is really a semi-long-haired) all you need is a really modest equippement.



  Whereas a short-haired Saint Bernard can be cleaned with a simple glove-brush, a long-haired Saint Bernard will need a carder, in particular in the period his coat changes.
  A nice daily brush will keep his coat beautiful, clean and shining.






  Pendulous ears such as the Saint Bernard's must be examined daily, especially if the dog lives in the countryside, and cleaned when necessary.
  Eyes should be examined very often too: to keep them clean all you need is a wet hanky.
   If you notice symptoms of inflammation, you should call the veterinarian immediately. .
