| How and where to keep him | |
Obviously, there is no way such a huge dog
would be content in a doghouse, even if it is an extra large one. The
best shelter for a Saint Bernard is a wooden box, within a covered fencing
in which he can wander without any restriction and sheltered from the
rain. The Saint Bernard should spend most of his time in the garden: but, when he's all grown up, he can enter the house each time either one of us want companionship.
In the house the dog will be extremely quiet:
the Saint Bernard is able to lay down at your feet for hours without anybody
noticing his presence... ...obviously unless we don't have any interest in common to share! Strolls
Even if you own a big garden, sometimes take
the dog for a walk with you.He loves encounters and to mantain relationships: therefore, the strolls on a leash, apart from satisfying his needs to move, are good for his spirit as well. ![]() | |
